As part of the monitoring of your lone worker alarm devices, model e-WG200, we would like to inform you in full transparency of a recently identified technical malfunction affecting the outdoor satellite-based location function, also called “GPS location.” This feature is directly linked to satellite communication networks. In certain situations, this function may not provide sufficient accuracy or may be unavailable when an alert is triggered.
All other features of the watch (alert button, automatic detection, communication, message transmission, etc.) remain fully operational.
As a preventive measure, we have already ensured that an additional option called “fused location” has been activated on your devices. This option may provide location information using nearby Wi-Fi networks, particularly in urban areas, when satellite location is not available. This option will become effective at the next restart of your e-WG200 watch.
Your devices already in service remain, of course, usable, but we draw your attention to this limitation. If your outdoor use cases take place exclusively outside urban areas, or if you are unable to determine this precisely, we invite you to contact us so that we can consider the most suitable solution. Please use the address service-client@magneta.fr for all your requests and follow-ups related to this matter.
